Maybe it's a hybrid like Lymanii though the floral bracts are very Quesnelia esp. quesneliana.

I was intrigued by this statement.  The illustration of Quesnelias in Smith and Downs all show obtuse bracts, unlike mine which are acute (until rolled out after dissection).  But their pics show the entire inflorescne, and obtuse there.  And Q quesneliana apparently has white margined bracts, and mine doesn't. 

WHen I look at BCI pics of Quesmea Lyman (renamed from Lymanii) it looks almost identical, acute bracts, narrow inflorescne, etc
