Can any one ID this Hechtia 90km?
This Hechtia comes from Oaxaca, Mexico. The 90 km means it was 90 kilometers from Oaxaca. I have had this plant for maybe 8 or 10 years now and it never flowered. It grows slow.

Thanks for any help

Where/who is it from?  Tropiflora?  Don't they know or give any more information than that?  90km is vague to the point of being hilarious.  No way that a label like that will ever help narrow down a name.  It looks different than what I recall Tropiflora selling at the WBC in NO.  What is the size of it?

Thanks for the scale shots.  Hard to say without the location...and that might not even help (just like seeing the inflorescence).  And correlating plants in habitat to ones in cultivation can be difficult as most Hechtias are so plastic and can change drastically when put in richer potting mix (as well as probably when grown in the FL rain/humidity).  Must be a slow grower if it hasn't pupped or anything in that time.  And hard to tell if it is even mature yet...which could make it look quite a bit different again.  Maybe I'll bug Dennis about getting some info on it this fall.
