Title: Hechtia X1
Post by: sdandy on December 26, 2012, 00:23:44
Have I posted pictures of these yet?  They are turning out to be pretty interesting with the very glossy leaves and strong color.  I am just calling them Hechtia X1 right now and will probably keep that as it is easier to write than the formula (and if someone buys one they will be less likely to mess up writing X1 versus just keeping one of the parents).  I suspect that they will keep their color throughout the year because of the parentage (texensis x stenopetala).  The texensis are winter color and the stenopetala are colorful throughout, but stronger so in the summer heat.  And they started showing their color in the summer heat as long as they were in full sun.  I think I need to find a good spot where I can put all of these out in the full sun!

Does the person who wins the auction get his/her choice of the litter? and a special prize?

We'll see.  If the bidding goes high enough I certainly would be open to the idea...
And not sure what I could come up with for a special prize.
